Welcome to my website. It's not easy to categorise my musical output, It's not fully Prog or Folk or Pop or Rock, but will be of interest to fans of all those genres. Over the years my musical projects have always been very much intertwined with drama and storytelling. I am very influenced by Alan Parsons, Jeff Wayne and Al Stewart. I composed the music for a full length musical about Captain James Cook and performed the role of James Cook in an audio version of the play. I also performed a solo show based on the play at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2022. I have also released concept albums of songs about other historical characters from North Yorkshire, including Blind Jack, William Wilberforce and Lewis Carroll (in each case playing the leading role). Scriptwriting is also an interest: I wrote scripts and music for ‘Chocolate City’, a radio play broadcast on BBC Radio York in the late 1990s. In 2018 I  was a finalist at the Script Yorkshire York Branch final with 'The Great Wall of Yorkshire'.
