My main project is in the Prog/Art Rock/Theatrical sphere: 'TimMusicWorld' - specialising in music inspired by Yorkshire history and culture. There are many 'side projects', though, e.g. 'Light Engineering' leans towards the esoteric end of 80s pop. I also compose instrumental music: this ranges from electronica and prog through to Smooth Jazz. Instrumental influences include Peter White, Mike Oldfield,Vangelis and Tangerine Dream. Songwriting-wise I'm influenced by anything Trevor Horn was involved in, plus 10cc; Supertramp; Genesis, Steely Dan; The Alan Parsons project, Al Stewart and many more including, of course, The Beatles.
