Musician - Producer - Composer - Songwriter
'A very worthy musical celebration of the life and successful great work of William Wilberforce to abolish the slavery trade by a musician, composer, producer and historian dedicated to his county of Yorkshire and its stories, legends and peoples.'
My main project is in the Prog/Art Rock/Theatrical sphere: 'TimMusicWorld' - specialising in music inspired by Yorkshire history and culture. There are many 'side projects', though, e.g. 'Light Engineering' leans towards the esoteric end of 80s pop. I also compose instrumental music: this ranges from electronica and prog through to Smooth Jazz. Instrumental influences include Peter White, Mike Oldfield,Vangelis and Tangerine Dream. Songwriting-wise I'm influenced by anything Trevor Horn was involved in, plus 10cc; Supertramp; Genesis, Steely Dan; The Alan Parsons project, Al Stewart and many more including, of course, The Beatles. I also broadcast Quarterly Podcasts on MixCloud featuring news and latest updates about my music.
